The year was 1967: Lyndon B. Johnson was President, The Graduate was to top grossing movie, The Vietnam War was far from over, Jimi Hendrix Purple Haze was the #1 song, and this 1 of 20 Pontiac GTO’s painted in Verdoro Green Poly were built!
It doesn’t get much cooler than a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible! We have a very specially ordered GTO to offer you today. According to PHS, there were only 20 GTO’s built for 1967 in Verdoro Green Poly. Because there was several “Special Order” paint codes available, it is not exactly known how many of the GTO’s were Coupes and how many were Convertibles, but either way, you are looking at a very rare and special car. The correct Pontiac color combination is: Verdoro Green Poly with Parchment Interior with Ivory White Top.

This GTO has professionally repaint several years ago to its original color (Verdoro Green Poly) and looks great. The Ivory-White Power Convertible Top has been replaced and operates and functions properly with a touch of a button. We also have the Ivory-White convertible Boot.
The 400-V8 engine runs very strong. We just had the intake manifold gasket and exhaust gaskets replaced. At the same time, we also replaced the spark plugs, igniter, the starter, temperature switch, carburetor gasket and changed the oil. The Turbo Hydromatic transmission is strong and shifts thru all the gears as it should. The power steering and power brakes work as they should. We left the engine compartment “original”, meaning, we did not paint it, change it or modify it in any way. We did this to keep its originality for the new owner
The interior in like a time capsule. It is original other than the floor mats. All gauges work as they should. The dash, carpet, console, door panels, rear side panels all are in exceptional condition. The very cool and rare Dual Gate Shifter in the center console looks and functions great. The original am/fm radio and Pontiac Jeweled Clock work as they should. The trunk is very original and features a full sized spare tire.
Because of the age, there is no CARFAX Report on this one to tell and explain ownership history. We were told it was a 3-owner car. Because of the age of this car, we are selling it EXEMPT on the mileage, even though the odometer reads 5,387 miles. This GTO is a very solid and straight Convertible that rides and drives great. The only “issue” I have found is a little rust developing on the rear trunk lid. This GTO did not come with or has air conditioning.
We have a recreation window sticker from PHS, the Protecto-Plate and a ton of great documentation that goes with the car. Please see picture section for details.
I plan on doing a YouTube video walk-a-round of this car in the next couple of days. When it ready, I will post it here.
